Art Basel Day 2
23 August 2023
Tif Zab spoke at the NFT Art Day in Zurich
We had a fun night with Thomas Dane and Ivor Braka. Ivor gave one of his infamous speeches which was very amusing
It was wonderful to see so many art friends, it felt serendipitous. Here's Muriel from Cranford Collection, Patricia Marshall and Michelle Rubell. Smile for the camera!
We liked the work of Kira Freije at the Approach Gallery
My favourite Tishan Hsu at Miguel Abreu Gallery
I adored the work of Anne Rothenstein titled 'Black Dog 2' at Stephen Friedman Gallery
We also enjoyed the work of Klára Hosnedlova at KTZ
At Thomas Dane was the most beautiful Jean-Luc Moulène
Then at Galerie Buchholz I spotted this work by Anne Imhof titled 'Clue Cloud' and nearly jumped out of my shoes!
There were some wonderful Jean Marie Appriou masterworks floating around
This work by Maria Nepomuceno at Sikkema Jenkins & Co made me very happy
We said hi to Tschabalala Self and she was as usual a pleasure to talk to
I loved the work of Keiichi Tanaami, an older Japanese artist who introduced Pop Art to Japan and he had reinvented Picasso
It was wonderful to see this amazing sculpture by Jean Marie Appriou at Jan Kaps
As well as a wonderful sculpture made out of moulded prosthetics by Bernice Olmedo
In the central court we had time for sausages with old friends
