ART BASEL HIGHLIGHTS 1/3
21 June 2014
In Basel and Zurich the post abstract decor era is over and now it is back to real art
We arrived in Zurich and headed straight to Hauser & Wirth where we were greeted by this fantastic child-size Louise Bourgeois spider.
A quick visit to the Kunsthalle Zurich and we are once again totally in awe of Haim Steinbach’s ‘once again the world is flat’ exhibition.
Then to LISTE where I am dazzled by Josh Kline’s ‘Packing for Peanuts (FedEx Workers Head with Knit Cap)’ at Canal 47.
Deep down in the basement Philipp Timischl was showing his work with Neue Alte Bruecke, an intense digital collage of lost and the lover.
