Art Basel Miami Beach 2017: Day Two
15 December 2017
Day two and I head straight to NADA where I spy my childhood William Morris wallpaper enhancing the aesthetically perfect works by Marie Herwald Hermann
Lovely to pass Joel Mesler who was happily displaying his own paintings
Then these beautiful rose photographs by Sara Cwynar at Cooper Cole
At Nicelle Beauchene Gallery there was a wonderful painting by Jordan Kasey
Tiffany gave an interesting talk on collecting contemporary art with artist Rachel Rossin at the W Hotel for Cultured Magazine – there was a full house!
Design Miami seemed small but there was a treasure trove of interesting pieces including the Haas Brothers
Final stop was The Bass where I got to see Ugo Rondinone’s show ‘good evening beautiful blue’ where I walked amongst 45 life-size clowns in ‘vocabulary of solitude’
Then downstairs Mika Rottenberg had a show stopping presentation. We finally got to meet the artist behind the work ‘NoKnowsNose’, 2015
