After an easy flight I headed over to Art Cologne. Day two and already everyone starts to be a bit sleepy. Walking into a calm art fair was much more gratifying than the mayhem I usually encounter
First stop at Gallery Nathalie Obadia there was an interesting artist, Joris Van de Moortel, who set the mood for the rest of the day

At Esther Schipper I was caught on the surveillance cameras by the artist Julia Scher
At Galerie Gisela Capitain was my favourite show by Karla Black. It was very moving and also scented with so many different perfumes!

We acquired for the collection a work by Galerie Buchholz’s new (David Bowie obsessed) artist Danica Barboza
I headed to Tel Aviv where I saw the wonderful show by Hiroshi Sugimoto at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art. The space was specially designed by Hiroshi to feature 34 large black and white photographs from his central series, containing theaters, dioramas, landscapes and architecture. Here is a work depicting Catherine Parr from his portrait series where he photographed the mannequins displayed in Madame Tussauds. Now I am on my way to Berlin Gallery Weekend. I am missing out on the whole of Art Brussels and Monte Carlo as for some reason they have all decided to align themselves on the same weekend!
