BACK IN NEW YORK AGAIN FOR FRIEZE 2015!
2 June 2015
Day 1 Part 1 Cannot get enough of this place, it’s a great way to check in and catch some art with a bit of humour.
We kicked off with a Daata Editions dinner hosted by Soho House just three days before we launched. Afterwards, skinny Chloe Wise grabbed the fab Soho House Choco Cake special.
Loved her bread backpack at NADA.
The next evening we ate at Antique Garage so Daata Editions could give a special thank you to all the artists. Ed Fornieles, Florian Meisenberg and Rafaël Rozendaal give the thumbs up.
Frieze art fair was full on but quite interesting. We acquired a wonderful 3D bust of Philip Seymour Hoffman to go with our existing ‘Lost Teeth’ sculpture and video works by Cecile B. Evans.
Lots of 3D works around with the most poignant probably being Frank Benson’s.
A very lifelike head by David Altmejd at Andrea Rosen.
Heads everywhere! Although Isa Genzken’s twirling heads at Hauser & Wirth were my favourite.
