Back on the Art Horse
23 November 2021
This autumn was a world of art fairs, like Frieze, Art Basel and FIAC. There was so much to discover in a post lockdown world. Our first stop was Frieze Sculpture at The Regent’s Park.
Loving the work by José Pedro Croft at Galeria Vera Cortês
Olivia and I loved this shiny monolithic sculpture by Gisela Colón called Quantum Shift made out of engineered aerospace carbon fibre
We started visiting galleries, and Anish Kapoor’s paintings in Lisson Gallery were exemplary
We ended the evening with speeches and a lovely dinner at 34 Mayfair
Anish giving a glorious speech with proud Nick Logsdail looking on
Showing at same time at Lisson Gallery was Marina Abramović’s incredible film, Seven Deaths. A great beginning to great things to come. This paved the way for high expectations in Art Basel
