I was in Beijing watching Chinese Opera and checking out the art at 798 but alas I was perturbed. I could not really fixate myself with anything that was placed on the walls. Art Galleries were not open- it was all quite confusing.
Best thing was what was going on in the streets.
Ullens centre had a fabulous museum shop with Yue Min Ping's painting Mr and Mrs Ullens welcoming visitors at the reception desk.
The work of Rene Francisco Rodriguez was perhaps the most experimental in the whole of the Commune.
Even these mops were more interesting than most of the so called art on display at 798.
But some of the people dressed with great expression. Luckily I was doing other things there so my trip was not wasted!
