Did This Really Happen?
13 June 2014
The art residencies were full of action as soon as I arrived. Olafur Eliasson and his daughter Alma, Stephen Urbaschek, Carolin Eggel and Tim Neuger were with us in full force.
Here I am with Olafur in the most wonderful weather.
A question of ‘art or not art?’ arose almost immediately over a hyper polished square on the floor by Ebba Bohlin.
Myself and Keith Tyson who was heading off to tackle his triathalon whilst we tackle his new barn for the Large Field Array.
Johanna and her friend were cooking local cuisine for the residents to taste and buy.
Mimi Dusselier and Bernard Soens stood with Charles Sandison and his wife Nanna in the country light.
Local Finnish babies were parading before us.
Finnish artists were hanging out together in unity. Adel Abidin, Charles Sandison and Antti Laitinen.
Finally after all these years I got to hang my work by Caroline McCarthy, fruit made out of toilet paper.
A very happy Sam Falls with his lovely Eva Presenhuber and Markus Rischgasser who have joined us for support.
Nicholas Deshayes in residency at his secret hide out in the forest.
The amazing Oscar Tuazon commission is finally finished and installed!
I visited Caragh Thuring's residency studio for a sneak peek. She has created some wonderful paintings in anticipation of her Chisenhale show.
Jonathan Viner relaxing in the sun.
As was Helen Legg of Spike Island who joined us for a tipple. They are currently showing the Andy Holden exhibition commissioned by the Collection.
François Chantala enjoying and relaxing with the white nights of Scandinavia streaming in.
I am finally very relaxed here with Diane Solway from W Magazine, Inga and Tiffany Zab.
