Felix Los Angeles 2023
22 March 2023
We arrived in LA and were immediately immersed in art! The first stop was Josh Lilly where we saw Rachel Maclean's mirror which we adored
We also loved Vicky Wright's incredible 'A Single Stem XVIII'. Her work has evolved so much and she continues to shine
We also saw a fantastic work by Rashaad Newsome, where the image was popping out of the frame!
Then we went to Fitzpatrick Gallery and saw a show stopping Mathis Altmann work called 'Total Distress'
At Altman Siegal was a great Laeh Glenn piece. It was a long time since we had seen her work
Excuse the thumb, but I loved Suchitra Mattai's work at Kavi Gupta. Suchitra's works were so intimate and sensitive
There were lovely ceramics everywhere
I loved the work by Karla Ekatherine Canseco at Karlotta
There really was so much to see, and it was wonderful to see the work of Victor Seaward, former Zabludowicz Collection Invites artist
Interesting work by Tahnee Lonsdale at Galerie Fabian Lang
As we left we visited the studio of the mesmerising Sara Issakharian, an artist to watch. Her story clouds are explosive and full of stories relating to her Persian heritage
The highlight of our trip was visiting a wonderful retrospective of works Henry Taylor
One of Taylors most affectionate paintings of the artist Noah Davis
