Finland Residency Day 3
23 September 2022
It was the last day in Finland after a wonderful trip. We went to the Tyson Barn where Lizzie took a few pictures. I have spent 100s of hours in this art work and there is always something new to discover!
We had a lovely breakfast on the terrace where Karen Boros, Patrizia and Augusto Rebaudengo enjoyed their last meal
Tiffany, Jake and Lizzie checking the magic carpet by Slavs and Tatars
This work by Pia Camil is lovely
The work of Laure Prouvost was by far my most favourite titled, ‘From the Depth of Our Heart To The Depth of The See’. The gallery was heated to body temperature. Prouvost reflects on touch and sound being primary senses
We were given a tour of Kiasma by artist Joel Slotte, who showed us his fascinating paintings
We were very happy to see a loan from the Zabludowicz Collection, two wonderful works by Donna Huanca!
No War by Evgeny Antufiev was a very significant work in Kiasma
Then it was a final goodbye to Leevi Haapala, Director of Kiasma, and Jake Elwes
When the guests left, we went to see Tuomas A. Laitinen’s incredible octopus-like receptacles at Helsinki Contemporary, which he had placed in the sea, and recorded videos of octopuses taking residency
Getting ready for London and opening our exciting new show by artist LuYang. Something incredible coming soon!
