Miami - Part 2
14 December 2011
...and it is a Gelitin horse race against the Billionaire Boy Pharrell Williams and Emmanuel Perrotin.
Loads of stuffed toys everywhere - huge Takashi Murakami on Emmanuel Perrotin’s stand.
Stuffed toy bundles by Mike Kelley at Tony Shafrazi’s stand.
We loved this work by Katy Moran with Modern Art.
Then Hans-Peter Feldman: “aesthetic studies” gets clever with household items and cardboard boxes and Voila! A crisp clean self-expressive art work!
Garth Weiser at Casey Kaplan
We were lucky enough to acquire this work by Nathan Hylden from Richard Telles.
The work of Theaster Gates was ringing through Miami, definitely the hottest artist in town. The hype around him makes me want to back off. The black stuff in this picture is cement and he has had it patented, how clever is that?
We were lucky enough to find this perfect Walead Beshty at Wallspace.
Ryan Gander had found another way of creating one of his alchemy boxes. Just wrap all his stuff up in a plastic bag!
We spotted a wonderful Alexandre da Cuhna fan work from the noughties.
We came across a very interesting artist called Luiz Zerbini at Fortes Vilaca.
As Lizzie and I are heading out of the fair we spot a lovely Aaron Curry at David Zwirner.
And our home-grown David Gryn proudly standing under his creation.
The three gallerists at White Cube dreaming of their escape to Fisher Island.
In Alison Jacques’ cupboard we spot high heels, handbags and naked bodies all lounging about ready to meet their rightful owners.

In the evening it was one of the most relaxing dinners of my life. The Rubell family, De La Cruz, Thomas Houseago , Tracey Emin, hosted by the Hauser and Wirth team it was lovely we were floating on a cloud and did not bother to leave till after two. Everyone gave speeches including Thomas, Iwan and Tracey. Rashid Johnson toasted to the beautiful night and busy day.
