Paris: Day One
29 November 2019
We were in Paris where we had lots of time to soak up the wonderful art at the fairs!
First stop, Paris Internationale where there was much to see! There was a brilliant presentation by the Bangladeshi artist Srijon Chowdhury
I was introduced to Aks Misyuta, this piece is called ‘Happy and Healthy’
Once again I came across work by Koak who I find very interesting. This drawing is called ‘Little Nibble’
My highlight, at Galerie BQ, was seeing the work of Bojan Šarčević. A very underrated and fascinating artist
Bojan had time to discuss his practice
Temnikova & Kasela were showing this piece by Latvian born artist Inga Meldere, who now lives in Helsinki, Finland
At Chapter NY there was a wall sculpture by Ann Greene Kelly, of course the title is ‘Shirt’
At Koppe Astner I rather enjoyed viewing paintings by Miguel Cardenas
The artist run space, La Plage, was showing ‘Déploiemnts’ by Stéphanie Lagarde. An ambitious and very well put together solo show
