Paris Internationale
28 October 2016
Lizzie and I arrived at Paris Internationale to
a wonderful show.
We were surrounded by talent including this cute performance video artist showing us her latest work.
Georgia Gardner Gray’s work at Croy Nielsen was fab, definitely one to watch.
Daiga Grantina at Joseph Tang was mind-blowing. Another one to keep an eye on. All these pod-like metamorphic creature-like sculptures dripping from the ceiling.
Anna Uddenberg was showing one of her amazing abandoned 'Courtesy Counts' creatures on a suitcase.
The galleries were imaginative in their presentations, I loved Galerie Emmanuel Hervé.
High Art was showing Lene Henke, yet another one to watch. There really was so much quality to see at fair.
Mick Peter, an older artist, was interesting. I was told he had influenced many younger artists, I am not fully familiar with his work but I liked its playfulness.
Our big acquisition, this beyond beautiful hand by Jean-Marie Appriou.
Carlos/Ishikawa was also interesting. Vanessa Carlos has just started to work with RA artist Tom Worsfold.
Leaving the weird and entering the strange world of Martin Soto Climent at Proyectos Monclova. Loved it!
