September and back to London
7 September 2011
So here I am back in the UK back from my blockbuster Summer, ready for my blockbuster Autumn. We had a quiet summer and spent some time with friends starting our holiday in Finland.
We dropped in to Kai and Raphaela Forseblum’s island.
Poju and Kai in conversation.
Iwan Wirth was so overwhelmed by MDJs tomb that he tried to jump in and Ursula his mother-in-law saved his life. It reminded me of the joke of ecstacy and pain about the mother-in-law who fell off a mountain in her son-in-law’s vintage Rolls Royce.
Finally Ursula decides to take the plunge also and jumps into the tomb.
There lovely friend Barry Rosen came with them from the Eva Hesse foundation. They stayed for our gorgeous Crayfish party.
Keith Tyson captured in the beautiful night sky.
Keith came by with the kiddies and they loved checking out the art in the Asian Barn.Curtis with Taiwanese artist Shih Chieh Huang.
Then Curtis standing next to Ki-June Park.
Young Lara checking out the Seung-Hyo Jang in fighting spirit
Elvis with Nara.
Then the whole village came with babies in tow, beer and milk bottles all in the same hand.
All modes of transport.
The young and the old checking out the art works.
Loving the Nara crate.
Annie
Nina Bjorkman Nysten, head of artist programs in the area.
Enjoying James Ireland's outdoor pavilion.
The locals checking out the dynamics of the Jeppe Hein
Yana and Tiffany revving up for the Sarvisalo marathon. I only managed 14K and came last.
Poju in our new barn.
Lumi still life.
Then I dropped into the Moderne Museet in Stockholm and there was one artist, her name is Klara Liden. I could not really get her work.
The Museum’s collection however is amazing.
Then it was goodbye to lovely Finland and hello to Ibiza. There was art of sorts, a form of graffiti.
A form of performance art??
However it was great to see so many friends including Simon Lee who was looking absolutely fabulous in his beautiful villa.
Harry Blaine was on full form and loving the sunshine.
Everything was back to basics: no airs and graces as we were passing MacDonalds there was Helly Nahmad with his little Brov drooling over their Big Macs.
