Still in Summer
11 November 2019
We were in beautiful Turin for the wedding of Mr and Mrs Re Rebaudengo – the perfect couple!
Dr Paul Ettlinger, Magali Reus, Raimund Berthold and Helen Marten at sunset
Next stop, Mykonos, where we celebrated friend's wedding vow renewal at a Burning Man style party surrounded by wonderful sculptures
One of my highlights was catching up with my Lil Sis along with Peter Pilotto and Christopher de Vos
Back in London, we were hanging this exquisite work ‘Overflow’ by Louisa Gagliardi
Meanwhile at the collection the chips waiting to be added to Puck Verkade’s Invites show
In the main hall team Zab were installing Shana Moulton’s annual commission. The monumental work is beyond anything I ever dreamed
The alter is once again a spiritual paradise
Next stop, Edinburgh’s Jupiter Artland for Fiona McGovern’s wedding to Jonathan. We got to see not only the ceremony but the wonderful art too. We warmed ourselves up in the Nicholas Party café with lemon cake and tea
The happy couple crossed the beautiful bridge by Charles Jencks on the way to the reception. I felt as though I was in the Teletubbies set
The whole wedding was so romantic. I had a special moment with my family entombed by crystals sprouting everywhere in a work by Anya Gallaccio, not so dissimilar to Matthew Day Jackson’s ‘Huta’ in ZC Sarvisalo
Then a moment of rejoice in Pablo Bronstein’s wonderful promenade
Tragically we lost our beautiful friend Russell Ereira to the Mexican sea. A lover of the arts, Russell never missed one of the collection openings in the last twelve years, always bringing his family along. He felt close to Alex Israel even though they had never met and was always amused at their similar features
A younger version, Alex posing in a similar manner
