The Armory Show 2018
28 March 2018
It was a delight to come across ‘Rush Green Too’ by Frank Bowling at Marc Selwyn Fine Art
Then at Galerie Forsblom I saw a wonderful Ai Weiwei ‘Chuti’, a piece I had originally seen hanging from the ceilings of the department store Bon Marche
We dropped by Shoshana Wayne Gallery - a gallery to admire. Lovely ceramist, Kathy Butterly, was showing an anthropomorphic work titled ‘Tough Patty’
We learnt that the estate of Nam June Paik has joined Gagosian, news which I did not find surprising
We loved Hans Op de Beeck’s ‘Tatiana (Soap Bubble)’ at Marianne Boesky Gallery
Gallery Shulamit Nazarian presented works by Cammie Staros. It was lovely to meet the artist before acquiring her work
Pierogi’s ‘Pink Forest Installation’ by Patrick Jacobs was so pretty. A window with a depth of six feet, gave off the most beautiful hue and intensity to both the eye and the camera. It was a joy and a delight to view
Then a lovely moment was to meet Kiki Smith at Galleria Lorcan O’Neill for the first time. So cool and so easygoing, I envied her aura of freedom.
