The evening was so much fun, I spent most of my time dancing the night away with my fellow Brits. I felt so at home and let my hair down.

Then the next morning started with a hearty breakfast with Jack Kirkland and Gregor Muir.
Then to the most brilliant show in Venice. "When Attitudes Become Form" re-enacted from 1969 show in Bern at the Prada Foundation. My favourite work was by Allen Ruppersberg. Called Uuntitled Travel Piece Part 1" 1969.
The Dogana was a splendid example of male collecting, strong and trophy like. This work by James Lee Byars says it all.
Then it was back into the Giardani where I headed straight to Belgium's Berlynde de Bruyckere where the meaty death of a tree with all its sinewy roots were spread across the pavillion.
Ai Wei Wei hosted by the Germans who had swapped with the French. Very confusing just like the sprawling stool installation.
I loved the work of Sarah Sze at the American Pavillion. I have followed her work, I admire her intriguing journey of wonderment and surprise.
We dropped into the Palazzo Grassi where we landed straight into Stingel world. The installation was totally bonkers and great fun. Wall to wall carpeting of printed blurred carpet with the odd painting dotted here and there. All ready and prepared for the local Bedouin tribe to move in.
The Zab team were in full force, no pretty clothes as the weather has been brutal.
As we were leaving the garden of delights we were thrilled to see Antti Laitinen was representing Finland. He had a residency with us and was building a tree.
Which seemed far more productive than man hanging on tree!!!
