Visiting L.A. Part 2
22 March 2016
The Frederick R. Weisman Art Foundation was full of delights inside and out. A great big bottom greeted us in the garden. Frederick R. Weisman must have had an excellent sense of humour.
The art was spectacular but also very serious. Containing some previously bargain basement Bacons that started out at a few thousand and are now worth unimaginable amounts. As we entered the home we were greeted by this rather fabulous lady.
Duane Hanson’s contemporary John De Andrea. The donkey reminded me of a past trip to Aspen.
Another lady in another shower.
At Night Gallery we came upon the age old question of ‘art or not art?’ with this upturned car.
We were looked after so well by the LA community. My crew celebrating Michael Xufu Huang’s birthday at the home of some great friends. Lil sis Yana joined me looking all amazing in front of a Joan Mitchell.
Then we paid a visit to Benedikt and Lauren Taschen and their fantastically whacky home in the Hollywood Hills.
