Join us for the launch of our 2020 programme with the opening of two new exhibitions No horizon, no edge to liquid and Zabludowicz Collection Invites: Laurence Owen.

No horizon, no edge to liquid is a group exhibition curated by students from Central Saint Martins, Chelsea College of Arts and Birkbeck College. Exploring the concept of cultural hybridity as a space in which cultures meet: where bridges are built between societies through the processes ofcommunication, negotiation, and translation. Featuring works by thirteen artists, all of whom were born outside North America or continental Europe, although many have since immigrated there.

Gerund, an exhibition of new works by Laurence Owen, features wall-based, multi-media sculptures incorporating a vast range of materials including ceramic, Jesmonite, oil paint, wood and copper. Focusing on ideas of fluidity in relation to time, matter, borders and territories. Owen playfully subverts and reorganises identifiable aspects of architecture, craft, and carpentry, all of which have socially prescribed characteristics and functions.
