Andreas Angelidakis work on loan for Venice Architecture Biennale special projects show

Andreas Angelidakis' Soft Ruin, 2015, is currently on loan for the Venice Architecture Biennale special projects show A World of Fragile Parts. Produced in partnership with the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, A World of Fragile Parts uses the preservation of monuments to consider the renegotiation of heritage in the digital age. Angelidakis fabricates his Soft Ruin works following online building projects within Second Life, giving now deleted digital structures longevity in the physical world. They will be shown alongside a number of contemporary art works that use new technologies to questions ideas of authenticity and heritage. 

A World of Fragile Parts will be exhibited at Sale d’Armi A, Arsenale, from 28 May until 27 November 2016. More information is available from the Venice Architecture Biennale website.
