Gillian Wearing 'Self Portrait' featured in SMK solo exhibition

We are delighted to support a new solo exhibition by Gillian Wearing at Statens Museum for Kunst, Denmark. Gillian Wearing - Family Stories will include the display of large scale photographic work Self Portrait, 2000, on loan from the Zabludowicz Collection. The exhibition will focus on the role of domestic relationships and notions of family life in Wearing's photography, video work and sculpture from 1992 to present day. This show will also also unveil new commission A Real Danish Family, the culmination of a year long project involving 500 Danish families and subject of a series of documentaries debuting on Danish television during the course of the exhibition.
