Haegue Yang at Mu­se­um Lud­wig

We are delighted to have supported Haegue Yang’s exhibition ETA 1994-2018 at Mu­se­um Ludwig with a loan from the Collection. Medicine Men (2010) is comprised of six autonomous sculptures adorned with an array of items including wigs, light bulbs, cables and artificial plants. These quasi-bodies glow and move across the floor on rotating wheels; they are surreal, composed of fetish objects, which raise a number of perplexing questions.  

Yang’s solo exhibition at the museum is the result of winning the Wolfgang Hahn Prize which honours exceptional contemporary artists.
