Alexandre da Cunha opens at MCA Chicago
21 July 2015
For their fifth display in the ongoing Plaza Project series the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago are showing Mix (Americana), 2013 by Alexandre da Cunha. The work is a continuation of da Cunha's distinctive appropriation of found objects. Responding to the scale of the location, the artist has transformed a large scale cement mixer into a sculptural form with kaleidoscopic qualities. For further information please visit the MCA Chicago website.
Two related works by Alexandre da Cunha, Urn II and Urn III, both 2013, are currently featured in Zabludowicz Collection: 20 Years, alongside early work Velour Series, 2005-06.
