Announcing our 2017 exhibition programme

Zabludowicz Collection are proud to announce our year ahead programme. 2017 marks the tenth anniversary of the Collection’s home at 176 Prince of Wales Road, and a major autumn solo exhibition by Haroon Mirza, a highly influential voice in British art over the last decade.

The programme will commence in January with Artist Residencies Las Vegas, this year featuring Hannah Perry and Sara Cwynar. Based out of The Plaza Hotel in Downtown Las Vegas, the residency offers invited artists the opportunity to research and develop future projects, responding to the city’s fascinating collision of popular culture, architecture and industrial history.

In London, we will start the year with our Testing Ground for Art and Education programme, working with MA/MFA students from Chelsea College of Art and Sir John Cass College of Art to produce an exhibition of work drawn from the Zabludowicz Collection. This exhibition and accompanying events programme will run alongside Testing Ground: Master Class, our annual intensive professional development workshop and lecture series where younger artists have the opportunity to work with four leading international artists over the course of a week. The 2017 leading artists are Susan Hiller, Chantal Joffe, Heather Phillipson and Eve Sussman. Each will give a free public lecture on their practice during the first week of February.

Succeeding this in the spring will be a major group exhibition of photography from the Collection, featuring notable international artists from across different generations. You Are Looking At Something That Never Occurred will explore how photography can question the boundaries between past and present, the factual and fictional.

The Invites programme will also run throughout the year. Beginning with Helen Knowles' The Trial of Superdebthunterbot the programme will see six emerging UK based artists producing new work and exhibitions spanning all disciplines and giving insight into current modes of practice and approaches.
