Haegue Yang at Museum Ludwig
25 April 2018
We are delighted to have supported Haegue Yang’s exhibition ETA 1994-2018 at Museum Ludwig with a loan from the Collection. Medicine Men (2010) is comprised of six autonomous sculptures adorned with an array of items including wigs, light bulbs, cables and artificial plants. These quasi-bodies glow and move across the floor on rotating wheels; they are surreal, composed of fetish objects, which raise a number of perplexing questions.
Yang’s solo exhibition at the museum is the result of winning the Wolfgang Hahn Prize which honours exceptional contemporary artists.
The installation will be displayed until 12 August at Museum Ludwig, Cologne, Germany. Further information is available here.
