Join Ai Weiwei and Anish Kapoor as they walk through London in solidarity with refugees

Artists Ai Weiwei and Anish Kapoor have invited the public to join them on a 7 mile walk in solidarity with the refugees presently facing struggles around the world. Each artist will carry a single blanket as a symbol of comfort in the face of suffering, and ask participants to also bring a blanket if possible.The walk will begin at the Royal Academy of Arts, where a retrospective of Ai Weiwei's work has just opened, at 10am on Thursday 17 September. Ai Weiwei made the announcement earlier through his Instagram account, including that the artists plan to repeat the action in cities across the globe in the future.
